9/6 INTRODUCTORY GATHERING
Some suggestions on reading/studying this book:
NTI which is the shortened form for TheHoly Spirit’s Interpretation of the New Testament is set up in the same way as the traditional New Testament (which I will sometimes refer to as the Old New Testament).
Therein, the similarity stops. There is no fear, no condemnation, no judgment. It’s purpose is very simple, to help us recognize our Oneness with God, and therefore one another, and to realize nothing ever happened to take away the Truth of that Oneness.
I would encourage you to just read, perhaps a chapter at a time, taking time to note anything that caches your interest, puzzles you, disturbs you, or in an way gets your attention. Bring that into our gathering on Tues. Evening. There are no right or wrong answers, we might even find our thinking changing over time.
Occasionally there will be a little book icon at the beginning of a section. That is an indication that the passage following the icon relates directly to the same chapter and verse in the traditional New Testament. At this point some people like to compare the two versions NTI and the Old New Testament. Personally, I found that rather confusing until I went through the whole book of NTI a few times, but you are more than welcome to read both.
In the back of the NTi is a very thorough QUESTION and ANSWER INDEX.
There are many subjects and ideas to follow through with, so if an idea catches you and you want to read further on it, check out the index.
BEGINNING TO EXPLORE MATTHEW CHAPTERS 1-6
The Holy Spirit, sometimes called the spirit of love/wisdom is the bridget between the world we inhabit(conflict, chaos, attachment) and Heaven(unconditional love, freedom, and peace).
One major theme is opening ourselves to guidance, the Guidance of the Holy Spirit.
To listen to the Spirit, the mind needs to be free and empty.
What can we do or need to do in order for that to happen?
ADDENDUM: STEP BY STEP, ONE STEP AT A TIME: CHAP. 2 (1-23) 2 “The entire route is not revealed from beginning to end all at once, but it is revealed to you step by step.”
